Metals for Meditation
Ignite Jewelry Studios is so happy to announce Metals for Meditation, a program born from a difficult chapter and the healing power of making.
Following Hurricane Helene, Ignite owner Jessica Blissett lost her River Arts District studio to flooding. After eight months of hard work and perseverance, she reopened Ignite in downtown Asheville in June 2025. Along the way, she witnessed so many artists and makers lose studio space, equipment, income, and access to their creative communities.
Jessica also experienced firsthand how working with your hands can help you slow down, stay present, and find grounding during difficult times.
Metals for Meditation creates a circle of support. Through our fiscal sponsorship, you can donate and receive a tax deduction while helping someone access workshops, Open Studio, Open Casting, and other Ignite opportunities. Those who need assistance can apply for a grant to help cover these costs.
Together, we can make creative opportunities more accessible while helping Ignite continue to serve our community.
You can donate by sending a check written out to The Village Potters Foundation and include in the memo line: FOR IGNITE JEWELRY STUDIOS to Ignite’s physical address: 84 Walnut Street Unit A Asheville, NC 28801.
