*Some experience or basic knowledge required or Sign Up to take our Sessions: Wax Carving and Casting prior to signing up for your first Open Casting.

Open Casting is a 2 part series. Wednesday from 4:30-6:30 is the investment portion and Thursday from 9-11 am in the casting portion.

Arrive at 3pm Wednesday with your wax(es) to sprue your wax(es) OR attend Open Studios (see calendar for times) to pull waxes prior to Open Casting (additional charge.)

Thursday morning from 9-11 is the casting portion. Time slots will be made the evening before for arrival time. If you cannot make the casting potion Ignite can do this for you and you can pick up your pieces after 12pm Thursday.

When you sign up you will reserve space in our kiln for one 4 inch height by 2.5 inch width perforated flask. If you need more than one flask you will need to sign up for additional spaces.

Bring your own metal or casting grain (silver/gold/brass/bronze) or some types are available to purchase. 50% clean casting grain is ALWAYS recommended for best results. (Reach out at least 2 weeks prior for specific metal needs such as for gold. We generally have silver in stock.)

Lost Wax Casting is unpredictable and favorable results are not guaranteed. However we do everything possible to ensure great results.

You will be using a Vacuum Casting machine with perforated flasks.

Bring your tree prepared at 4:30pm or arrive at the studio at 3pm to sprue. (Studio may close from 4-4:30 for veggie share pickup:)
