Do you know how to bezel set a cabochon stone? That’s great because you won’t be doing that in this workshop. Instead you’ll learn how to set small faceted stones three different ways. This class is for advanced beginners or intermediate students.

• You’ll learn how to flush set very small (3mm) cz’s into heavy gauge metal.

• You’’ll learn and practice setting 3mm to 4mm cz’s into heavy wall tubing using the precision tools necessary for the job.

• And lastly you’ll learn how to build a prong setting for a larger faceted stone.

This class is a techniques only workshop that will challenge your skills and eyesight (please bring an Opti-visor or other head magnification gear). Time allowing, you’ll practice these settings multiple times and/or create a piece of jewelry to your own aesthetic. Some special materials and supplies may be purchased from the instructor including faceted stones, metals, saw blades and burs. A small supplies list will be sent to students upon registration.
